Mitä testaamme koneellisesti, mitä osittain ja mikä vaatii ihmisen
Jokainen saavutettavuusskanneri löytää vain osan siitä, mitä auditointi löytää. Sen sijaan että jättäisimme tämän epämääräiseksi, tällä sivulla se kerrotaan WCAG 2.2 A/AA -kriteeri kerrallaan: mitkä rikkomukset skannerimme löytää itse, missä se erottaa tapaukset ihmisen tarkistettavaksi ja missä se ei voi arvioida lainkaan. Perustuu siihen, mitä skanneri todella ajaa, ei siihen mitä toivoisimme.

Puhdas skannaus ei tarkoita, että sivu on WCAG:n mukainen. Koneellinen testaus kattaa noin puolet siitä, mitä asiantuntijan tekemä auditointi löytää, ja useita kriteerejä voi arvioida vain ihminen, joka käyttää sivustoa. Lue tämä matriisi välineen kuvauksena, ei todistuksena.

Menetelmä ja versionhallinta
Skanneri lataa sivun oikeaan selaimeen samalla tavalla kuin kävijä ja ajaa axe-coren WCAG 2.2 A- ja AA-sääntöjoukoilla. Taulukon kytkentä säännöstä kriteeriin tulee suoraan axe-coren omista metatiedoista; jako koneelliseen, osittain koneelliseen ja ihmisen arvioon on oma ammatillinen arviomme, ja se on mainittu sellaisena.
Tulokset, joita axe-core ei voi ratkaista (esimerkiksi teksti kuvan päällä), näkyvät jokaisessa raportissa käsin tarkistettavina kohtina, eivät piilotettuina eikä hyväksytyiksi laskettuina.
Tässä matriisissa on versio ja päivämäärä. Se muuttuu, kun axe-coren versio, sääntöjoukot tai jaottelumme muuttuvat, niin että kaksi eri laitosta on keskenään vertailukelpoisia.
