About Seviranta
Why Seviranta exists
An accessible website is not a luxury and not a legal side issue — it's how every customer comes in. We make that measurable and affordable, without false promises.
In short
Seviranta is an independent European platform that makes digital accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) measurable, understandable and affordable for e-commerce and SMEs. Where one-off audits go stale and overlay widgets don't touch the code, we test the fully rendered page as the browser renders it — against the standard under the European Accessibility Act, on the same WCAG basis that applies worldwide (including under the US ADA, the Canadian AODA and the UK Equality Act).
Why we had to build this ourselves
Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act applies across the EU: online stores and digital services must be accessible to people with disabilities. No longer a non-binding guideline, but law — and an obligation we, as business owners, have to meet ourselves.
When we had to comply ourselves, we ran into two extremes. On one side, expensive manual audits: a thousands-of-euros snapshot that's already out of date the moment your developer installs an app or your marketing team launches a new landing page. On the other, cheap overlay widgets that lay a layer over your site, don't fix the real code, slow your site down (bad for your Core Web Vitals), and sell you a false sense of safety — while sites with such a widget are in fact targeted with lawsuits.
We didn't want a report that was already stale after one deploy, and not a widget that made us more legally vulnerable than doing nothing. What we needed — a solid system that measures continuously, is honest about what a machine can and can't do, and builds a retainable dossier as evidence towards lawyers and regulators — didn't exist in a form that held up. So we built it ourselves, out of pure necessity: because we needed it ourselves, and because every business owner who falls under this law deserves the same tooling — from a one-person web shop to a chain with hundreds of pages, anywhere in the world.
What we stand for
Real repair, not a layer
We don't put a widget over your site that keeps up appearances. We show what's wrong in the underlying code, so you actually fix it. That's the only thing that holds up — for your customers and in a claim.
What's certain, and what needs judgement
We show exactly what a machine can measure in black and white, and what needs human assessment. No false “100% guaranteed” — it doesn't exist, and whoever promises it is selling false certainty.
Your data stays yours
The free scan stores nothing. We read your page, show the result, and keep nothing back. Monitoring accessibility without becoming a risk ourselves.
Built in the EU, to the global standard
Seviranta is built in the Netherlands — to Europe's strict privacy and quality bar — and measures against WCAG: the global standard underneath the European Accessibility Act, the US ADA, the Canadian AODA and the UK Equality Act. One standard, applicable anywhere in the world.
Enterprise engine, fair price
The same measuring technology as the expensive platforms, but continuous and self-service. So a one-person web shop has the same ground under its feet as a large company with an audit budget.
Who builds it
Seviranta is an independent Dutch initiative, born in e-commerce practice — with business owners who fall under this law themselves and have to comply themselves. We know the law, the technology and the doubt not from a boardroom, but from the daily work.
And we keep building. With our team we work every day on tooling that moves with the law and with your site, and that genuinely helps other business owners forward. That we can make a difference with it is a privilege — and it keeps us sharp on how it should be: open about what a scan can and can't do, frugal with your data, and without the overblown promises this market is full of.
